About the event
Spanning the beautiful coasts and countrysides from Northumberland to Tyneside, 15 Years of Summers is a fashion editorial retrospective by self-taught Berwick local creative Charlotte Summers. Known for her distinct eye and colourist styling, Charlotte’s work transforms landscapes and studio spaces into compelling visual stories.
Coming from a theatre background has fuelled her sense of narrative, drama and imagination. For her, a great photo isn’t just about composition or lighting - it’s about telling a story through setting, mood and movement. Props are a signature feature in most of her work, ranging from home-made clouds to chess boards and even chickens (not intentionally following a “C” theme, but she’s rolling with it).

During the global lockdown in 2020, when much of the creative world paused, Charlotte responded with innovation. From isolation came The New Now - a fun, remote-shot series that documented life, fashion and expression during a time of distance and uncertainty. Working with models from as young as 2 years old and travelling virtually all over the world, thank you FaceTime and CLOS app, The New Now became more than a project - it was a time capsule of creativity and a sense of normality we all needed.
This debut show brings together highlights from Charlotte’s editorial archives, inviting viewers into a world where every photograph carries a spark of story, style and stage-born imagination. She’s very excited to finally be stepping into the spotlight - it’s been a long time coming!
