Christopher Kent presents the Phantom of Edgar Allan Poe, a show which is as Gothic as it sounds! The Phantom introduces us to the spirit of Poe trying to recall his life, including time spent in Scotland as a boy. Despite vivid childhood memories he has lost all his writing in a fire and attempts to recall fragments such as The Black Cat,The Facts in the Case of M Valdemar and The Raven.

Everyone has heard of Poe, come along and find out more about the man and the mystery. A very human story concerning memory, loss and determination. Bob Beagrie's 'The Hand of Glory: a biography' is an absurd narrative told as a sequence of prose poems which relate the adventures and exploits of the infamous mummified human hand currently displayed in Whitby Museum.

A Hand of Glory was supposedly the carefully prepared and “pickled” right hand of a felon, cut off while the body still hung from the gallows and used by burglars to send sleepers in the house into a coma from which they were unable to wake. Hands of Glory appear in various tales of European folklore.
