About the event

Lowry visited Berwick from the 1930s to his death in 1976. Come along to this talk given by Berwick Archivist, Linda Bankier, to find out more about how the town changed in that time and what Lowry would have experienced and seen.

Using images, archives and film in the Berwick Archives, this talk will paint of picture of Berwick during these decades and how it changed. Find out where Lowry stayed and some of the sites he will have encountered. This talk complements the LS Lowry and the Sea exhibition which is on display in Berwick at the moment. From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September it will be free to access and there are various guided tours available - see other entries.
