About the event

Are you all ready for the story of Little Red Riding Hood? Prepare yourself for a unique spin on the beloved tale in this magical madcap retelling of the classic fairytale.

En route to her Gran’s house, a young girl unexpectedly crosses paths with a very smelly, very hairy and very hungry wolf. The crafty creature tricks both the red hooded child and her grandmother resulting in the wolf eating Red’s Gran!!!!!

This reimagining puts the smelly old Wolf on trial, facing judgement for his alleged granny munching misdeeds.

But is he really such a big, bad wolf? Can the accused sweet-talk his way out of trouble? Is Little Red really all sugar and sweet niceness? Is Grannie really fully digested? Where is the wood cutter when you need him?

You decide in this chaotic courtroom crash…

Ideal for the whole family to sink their teeth into, it is also a funny and pythonesque treat for adults too. A tale that is both familiar and refreshingly wild.

An Alnwick Playhouse and Tortive Theatre production.

Health warning!!!! This production contains humour that references farts, poo and edible Grannies, it cannot be watched by stuffy adults and shouldn’t be shared with any Gran’s as this could lead to chronic indigestion, coughs, colds, runny noses and warts on your ears, the producers deny all responsibility for any conditions caused by excessive laughter after viewing this travesty…sorry performance.
