Join us for an informal series of talks and workshops at The Straw Yard.
Speakeasy is programmed by Berwick creatives Samantha Cary and Chris Adriaanse, who are inviting artists with practices that resonate with them to share insights about their career, art and creative practice.

As the season changes, we are delighted to be hosting Rafah Sabbagh at The Straw Yard for our third workshop.
Rafah will be creating space for a seasonal retreat for artists to help release, reset and replenish as we head into the darker, colder months.
A Seasonal Retreat: About the workshop
A restorative afternoon to slow down, recharge and return to yourself, feeling grounded, refreshed and renewed. Through intuitive connection exercises, guided meditation, gentle bodywork and creative reflection, you’ll have space to release what you no longer wish to carry, reconnect with yourself and nurture what you want to take forward.
All welcome.
About Rafah Sabbagh

Rafah Sabbagh is a holistic practitioner, life guide, nutritional specialist and retreat facilitator, with over 23 years’ experience in health and wellness.
Her work brings together mind, body and spirit, weaving intuitive practices, embodied movement, life guidance and nourishment to support a more conscious, connected and fulfilling life.
Her diverse experience spans community workshops, corporate settings, women’s wellbeing, fitness, nutrition and soulful cooking. She has also worked as a chaperone and guide to participants on Channel 4’s Model Behaviour programme.
Rafah believes that caring for ourselves is not simply about what we eat or how we move, but also how we think, feel and relate to the world around us. Now based in the Northumberland countryside, she continues to explore ways of bringing people together through retreats, women’s circles and spaces for reflection, connection and personal growth.
